Join us on Saturday, November 15 at 4 pm for a first-ever conversation with outgoing Roundtable president John Ridge, as he shares his decades of exploring Irish lives and Irish culture in New York! He has collected and examined old newspapers, rare books, uncommon artifacts, and interviewed retired pastors—all focused on the New York Irish. An original Roundtable member, John has researched and written about our revivals and resorts, leaders and heroes, language and landmarks, our societies and events, priests and parades and, especially, the churches and dance halls that have contributed to the enduring vitality of Irish New York!
Drawing on his research, Linda Dowling Almeida will lead this discussion with John in what will be a lively conversation about his life’s work and passion.
NOTE: Paid-up Roundtable members will receive emailed Zoom instructions during the week leading up to November 15. Please watch your email.
